I picked the Filtered Pullover by Amanda Bell...I know an Amanda, I think..., found the needles needed and searched the stash. I decided on Alpaca & Silk in Verte from Blue Sky Alpacas. Half alpaca, half silk - 100% fabulous. Let the games begin!
Now that the easy things have been taken care of comes the hard part: what to watch. Now, for me, this is one of the best and worst parts of knitting. For a larger project such as a sweater there needs to be an equally large body of work to accompany it. I like finding a series with at least two or more seasons to go with a hefty undertaking and there are no shortages out there. Monk is good. It doesn't require intense watching and the characters are fun. But they've recently taken it down from Netflix as instant viewing so that's out. Supernatural is growing on me but there are a lot of moody, quiet scenes that make me look up from what I'm doing and that doesn't help me with cables. Psych is hilarious, White Collar seems like it would be interesting, Burn Notice is great but Jeffrey Donovan is too good looking to spend time not looking at him. (I am not getting paid from USA Network to endorse their wonderful programming and super cute leading men.) I've watched my way through 30 Rock a few times and that would be easy background noise but I just made it through again and want something new. Or at least something I haven't watched recently. I love British television but it does require some thinking on my part and that's not what I'm looking for. I don't want to think and knit. I want to knit and knit! ARRRGGGHHHH! This is frustrating. I'm just going to go through my DVR and watch something until I can figure out what to watch. The Walking Dead would have my stitches so tight the sweater wouldn't fit Barbie. Good Eats would just make me hungry.
I must start my sweater if I am ever hoping to have it finished before I make my way to the Darveaux Rendezvous in Wisconsin with The Doll.
